artist bio

Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, I studied studio art and art education at Furman University followed by post-graduate studies in Italy. I taught art at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School for 9 years and now balance being an artist and mom while continuing to pursue my love of teaching. I currently teach PreK - 4th grade art and hold summer art camps. Continually inspired by the beauty of nature and the power of color, my art has evolved from a free-form painting approach to more precise floral designs in mixed media. Recent work incorporates colored pencil, gouache, acrylic, and watercolor to create floral art on birch panels, up-cycled wood, or paper.
